So, I’m new to Calgary, and a single guy. Judging from the calls, there seems to be quite a few of us out there. Initially I thought it might be a good plan to get a gang of single guys togther and hit a hotspot, or do a crawl. Now, I’m thinking that might be kinda scary…a bunch of us desperados coming into a place trolling for women. So I have a new idea.
I think it might be cool to throw a big singles bash for both single men and single women who are X92.9 listeners. I’m sure there are lots of single people listening who might be game. Maybe we could have a limited but equal number of passes for both men and women. That would ensure it wasn’t a sausage-fest (too many dudes)?or a clam-bake (too many ladies.) No couples!
If this were to happen, who’s in?

I agree. It would be a great time. I know a ton of people who would be in. Plus we’d all share around the same taste of music. It would be a good thing. I moved here from Ottawa last year, and I know I’m not the the only person imported from elsewhere. Sign me up.

I think that would be a great idea. most singles bashes seem really corny or make you feel like a geek. but if its being organized by you guys, i may consider it.

Singles night sounds like a great idea. The rusty cage is an awesome rock pub that turns into a club by 11 on fridays and saturdays. Check it out sometime.

Love it! When? And I am in the same boat as Cheryl… I am my only single friend- with my entire circle of friends being married, pregnant (or trying) or have kids. So! If I’m a big chicken would I have to suck it up and show up by myself? Or could I bring a married friend so I don’t feel like an a** walking in on my own?
Pub style would be best I think- people would be able to talk and not just smile and nod…
