My mom left a voicemail for me last Sunday, and I didn’t return the call right away, so on Friday, I received a second voicemail from my mom wondering why I hadn’t called her:

I called her in the afternoon, and we had a long chat. I’ve broken it down into two parts, and keep in mind that Bonnie and Clyde are a pair of Shi Zhu dogs.

Lindsay from the Calgary Humane Society came by the show today with a big lug of a dog named Sarj. He’s 3 years old, and is a friendly, energetic Rottweiler/Lab mix. His owner had to surrender him due to illness. We also talked a little bit about Chinchillas, which are also up for adoption. you can check out Sarj, the Chinchillas, and all sorts of other great pets at The Humane Society.

Kiwi is a sweetheart who likes her cuddles. She’s a 9-year old German Shepard mix looking for a fairly settled home - no crazy kids running around or pulling her tail! She knows the basic commands, and is pretty much ready to go to a loving home. You can see her and all sorts of other great pets at The Calgary Humane Society

We have a new friend from the Calgary Humane Society. We get visits every Thursday afternoon around 2:20 PM, and our new Humane Society person is Lindsay. She brought by a 1-year old French Lop bunny named Thumper. Thumper is a she, and is available for adoption, along with a heap of other pets at the Humane Society.

Desiree from The Calgary Humane Society came by today with a dog named Tyler. He’s almost three, and would do best in a home where he’s not left alone for too long, or where there’s another pet to keep him company. He’s a lonely fellow. He’s pretty low-key, so not too busy a home. You can check him, and tons of other sweet pets out at the CHS website.

Cheryl Wallach from The Calgary Humane Society dropped by today, for her final visit on behalf of CHS. She’s been with them for over 16 years, but decided she’d like to pursue documentary-making. We wish Cheryl well with her future plans! She was accompanied by a sweet dog on her visit. Chesney is a 2 year old mix, weighing in at 20-25 lbs. She’s very attentive, and affectionate. Cheryl Wallach from the Calgary Humane Society often surprises us when she stops by every Thursday with a pet available for adoption. This week, a pretty cool frog named Elvis. He’s a pac-man frog (South American Ornate Horned Frog). He and female frog were found during a drug bust. You can check him, his woman and tons of other animals out at the CHS website.

Goliath is, as his name suggest, a big dog. He’s a four year old Saint Bernard, whose owner left him behind when he/she moved. He’s a very friendly dog, who knows a whole bunch of commands like sit, lie down and shake a paw. If you’re looking to add a big lovable boy to your family, shedulae a visit with Goliath. Lulu the dog stopped by the studio today along with Cheryl from the Calgary Humane Society. Lulu is 11 months old and is a lab crossed with…a shorter legged dog. She is a really nice looking, good-tempered dog ready for a loving owner.

Prince the dog came by the studio today with Cheryl from The Calgary Humane Society. He’s an American Eskimo - a small version of a Samoyed - and is 11 years old. His owners had to move overseas, and couldn’t bring him along. Despite his age, he’s really peppy. He has a pretty thick coat, so will need pretty regular grooming.
